Defender Auto Glass was founded in 2014 and has since grown to be a leading auto glass provider in the Greater Cleveland and Akron areas. With three in-shop repair locations and several mobile repair vehicles, the company is locally owner and headquartered in Mentor, Ohio. About the Position

The Auto Glass Repair Apprentice will assist in various tasks to help with the daily activities of Defender Auto Glass, while being taught fundamental skills from the field.

The appropriate candidate must strong willingness to learn and develop new skills, the candidate must be able to adapt to new situations with readiness and composure. Defender Auto Glass values employees who show up and work hard; thus, the candidate must be a motivated individual who can be both depended upon and trusted.

The apprentice position at Defender Auto Glass is an opportunity to enter into a persevering industry that ensures honest work and job security for years to come. All applicants must be dedicated to learning the trade and ultimately pursuing a career in the automotive industry.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain shop cleanliness
• Work with outside vendors on assuring orders are correct
• Communicate with customers
• Work with technicians to learn and understand automotive glass repair

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior technical schooling or training related to the automotive field is preferred, but not required
• An above average level of automotive and/or mechanical knowledge
• Good communication skills to interact with customers, employees, and vendors
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office 365
• Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check
